Helping our dogs find the homes they truly deserve 💜
At Congleton Dog Rescue, our mission is to find each dog the most suitable and loving home possible. We believe the true measure of a rescue's success is the quality of its adoptions, not the number. Adopting a pet can be a commitment of over a decade, and our process reflects the care and responsibility this requires.
After your application is approved, we will arrange a visit to your home. This allows us to meet all family members and any existing pets, ensuring your environment is safe and dog-ready. In some cases, a virtual visit may be possible. We often combine the home visit with the meet & greet, depending on logistics.
A meet & greet is required between the dog and all household members, including any existing dogs, before adoption can proceed. We do not ship dogs to adopters. Adoptions outside the local area are welcome if this requirement can be met. Meetings can take place at country kennels, country hounds, your home, the foster home, or another mutually convenient location.
Once approved, adopters will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee: Puppies (up to 1 year): £450 - £500 | Adults (1–7 years): £350 - £500 | Seniors (8+ years): £200 - £300.
If, at any point, an adopter cannot keep their dog or meet their needs, the dog must be returned to Congleton Dog Rescue. The adoption fee is non-refundable, but our support for adopters continues for the lifetime of the dog.
Please ensure you have read and understood our adoption process before completing the application.
